Last month, the Federal Reserve released their Quarterly Senior Loan Officer Opinion Survey on Bank Lending Practices. The Fed surveyed 75 domestic banks and 21 U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks. According to the survey, roughly 20 percent of respondents said that demand for C&I loans from small firms was moderately stronger while 49.3 percent and 43.7 percent said the outlook for delinquencies and charge-offs on those C&I loans is expected to remain around current levels or even improve somewhat, respectively.
